I have been using Lightroom for an eternity now, but many professional photogs I met have been hailing the greatness that is Capture One (http://www.phaseone.com/capture-one). Capture One, created by the same lovely people who made the great Phase One camera, processes raw files and help to bring out the best from your camera and your image.
I tried out the Capture One once, and can not say that I was floored. Maybe it was that I can edit in LR in my sleep (something I may have done, lol), but C1 just didn’t get me WooHooing about the results.
Has anyone had the LR to C1 transition? Am I missing something (probably)? I know that it is great at removing noise in high ISO situations. But other than that, what is so magical about it?
As a sidenote, Nik software (http://www.google.com/nikcollection/) has also gotten rave reviews. Also used it once and then crawled back into my LR cave.
