Portrait Photography That Feels Natural, Intentional, and Unforced
Oksana Kemp is a Washington, DC–based commercial photographer with a strong foundation in visual storytelling, composition, and brand strategy.
Raised in a family of photographers, Oksana developed an early fascination with both the artistry and mechanics of photography—often taking apart film cameras simply to understand how they worked. She received her first camera at age 10 and has been creating images ever since. Years of formal art school training refined her sense of composition, light, and narrative—skills that continue to inform every shoot.
Before transitioning into photography full time, Oksana built a career in corporate strategic communications and marketing. This background gives her a distinct advantage when working with brands, agencies, and professionals: she understands how photography functions within a larger business strategy, from shaping perception to supporting marketing, editorial, and commercial goals.
Oksana is known for her ability to put even the most camera-shy clients at ease. Her process is guided, thoughtful, and collaborative—often leading clients to see themselves in a new way and say, “Wow, that’s really me.” She works closely with each client to create images that feel authentic, confident, and intentional.
Her work spans editorial portraiture, fitness campaigns, lifestyle storytelling, and branded content, always with an emphasis on clarity, authenticity, and purpose-driven imagery.
